Fizzy Lemonade Recipe


  • 2 lemons
  • ¼ tsp of baking soda
  • Cold water
  • Maple syrup or agave (to taste)
  • Ice
  • 1 tsp of finely chopped or grated fresh mint, basil, rosemary, thyme, or ginger to add extra flare


  • Rinse the lemons off with water.
  • Roll the lemons on the counter to release the juice.
  • Juice the lemons into a glass. Smell the juice.
  • Add the baking soda. Smell the mixture. How has it changed?
  • Add cold water (2 parts water for 1 part juice).
  • Add maple syrup or agave to taste. Smell the new mixture. How has it changed?
  • Add an extra or two to liven up the flavor.

Build Your Own Smoothie Recipe


  • 2 cups frozen fruit (strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, cherries, pineapple, mango, peaches, mixed berries)
  • 1 cup greens (kale with stems removed, baby kale, spinach, arugula)
  • 1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 1 cup unsweetened plant-based milk (almond, coconut, oat, macadamia nut, soy)
  • ¼ cup nuts or 1 tsp seeds (cashews, almonds, walnuts, pistachio nuts, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, flax seeds)

Add all the ingredients to a blender and mix until completely combined.
